Here I am!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I posted anything to this website! To be totally honest, I haven't really painted much either. (PSI- I post more frequently on my Facebook page, but it's still been lacking for a while!) I've been in a challenging season that made it difficult to put any attention towards painting- the joy just wasn't there and it seemed like so much effort to try. After some inspiring and encouraging words from a "chance" ("quotes" because I completely believe God puts people in your path for a reason!) meeting with a friend, I realized I needed to get back to it. We've come full circle out of the difficult time, but it's always hard to get started again. A dear friend and mentor once told me, "once begun is half done"- meaning, when you doubt yourself, fear failure, or are dreading doing something, the hardest part is just starting. Once you take that first step, you've already pushed through the most difficult part. That's my nugget of inspiration for the day! 😉

I'm excited to be back in my studio with a renewed joy! I've been working on some "unfinished" paintings and some new abstract ones. I look forward to the days when I have time to work on something!
